   In order to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit   Baptism is a ritual of going into water and coming out. In John 3:5, Jesus said,  “ Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ”  Water does not mean washing away sins, but symbolizes the death of the body of sin. In other words, going into water means dying in union with Jesus who died on the cross. In Romans 6:4,  “ Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, even so we too should walk in newness of life. ” Coming out of the water symbolizes resurrection. Romans 6:5 says,  “ For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection. ”  Being united with resurrection is called the baptism of the Holy Spirit.   The Image of God and Our Own Image   Colossians 1:15 says, "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:" 2 Corinthians 4:4 also speaks of the image of God: "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." God created the first man to reveal himself in the form (image) of a sinner. The first man is the image of God. God has no form. The form means the body, like clothing. Saying that God took on a body means that God came in a fleshly body. The first man was God Himself who went into the dust and became a man in order to give man a body of sin. The first man was created in the image of God. However, he had a body of sin. Therefore, the one who came in the flesh to break the chains of the body of sin was Jesus.
